The Ebira Mountaineering Project (EMP) is a dynamic outdoor initiative that leverages the transformative power of nature, physical fitness, and community engagement to drive youth and community development.

By exploring the breathtaking mountains, beautiful landscapes, and rich cultural heritage of Ebiraland, Kogi State, Nigeria, EMP promotes outdoor adventure, cultural preservation, and socio-economic growth.

Our Vision

To be established as a premier outdoor adventure platform that promotes the socio-economic wellbeing of the Ebiraland and its communities, inspiring a culture of healthy living, environmental conservation and community engagement.

Registration Guidelines

Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting the registration form.

All contestants are required to complete the registration form either online or offline before the stated deadline.
Participants must appear in a smart, sporty outfit. This should include a round-neck top or jersey, and a pair of sneakers.
All participants must arrive at the competition venue by 8:00 a.m. sharp for verification and screening.

Note: Failure to comply with the above guidelines will result in disqualification.

I'm a student of Bayero University where I study Human Kinetics and Health Education at the faculty of Education. Last year, I emerged a winner of the Adavi Female Category of the EMP 2nd Edition, which was a life changing experience for me. The prize money helped me a great deal in sustaining and expanding my perfume business and I am ever grateful to the convener and the team for this wonderful initiative. I am getting ready for this year's edition already!

I'm deeply grateful to the organizers of the EMP initiative for the opportunity to showcase my athletism and also for the prize money won. I'm a graduate of Computer Science from the Kogi State Polytechnic and I had enrolled for Web Design Course. However, navigating this online course became cumbersome and almost impossible as my PC was very slow and inefficient. With my slow-growing savings, I was able to combine with the prize money and yay, I have a new laptop which has greatly enhanced my web programming skills. I was able to master the course within 5 months!

I'd like to express my sincere, heartfelt appreciation to the EMP organizers for the prize money I received. Pursuing a career in Pharmacy has always been my dream. Winning the prize was a divine intervention that geared me towards becoming a pharmacist. Before the event, I had gained admission but was struggling to pay my tuition. However, my luck changed when I won the prize, which came just in the nick of time. I'm currently studying pharmacy, and this wouldn't have been possible without the EMP's support. I'm forever grateful for this opportunity.

The prize money I won at the last edition was a game changer for me, its impact is still being felt. First, I was able to embark on my NYSC scheme because it was almost difficult getting my travel plans underway. Secondly, I could pursue my desire to acquire graphics and video editing skills with the prize money and also enrolled for an animation design class. Today, I'm proud to say that I'm a skilled video editor, graphics designer, product manager, animation designer, data analyst, and logo/flyer/brand developer. This is a remarkable transformation, achieved within a span of just 12 months. I'm grateful to the organizers of EMP for their support and dedication. May God bless you all.
